Idit Shemer - flute
Maggie Cole - keyboard

The music of Philippe Gaubert

Israeli flautist Idit Shemer, and American/British keyboard player Maggie Cole, bring their shared love and experience of music of many periods and styles to an enchanting selection of works by this early 20th century composer who contributed so much to the repertoire and pedagogy of the flute. The disc demonstrates Gaubert's ability to write short pieces of great charm as well as fully developed sonatas.

Both Idit Shemer and Maggie Cole have performed extensively in Europe, the USA and the Middle East as soloists and in chamber music. Idit is known for her recordings on all types of flutes. Maggie is best known for her recordings of JS Bach, Scarlatti and Haydn on harpsichord and fortepiano.
